Garment Care: Gentle Wash & Dry Clean Only

Use JASCANO's garment care guide to check gentle wash and dry-clean-only instructions. Always follow the care label attached to your individual garment.

Dry clean only

JASCANO specifies these instructions for banana leather, banana cotton and milk fibre pieces. They also apply to garments specifically labelled dry clean only.

• Professional dry cleaning only, by a qualified cleaner.
• Inform the cleaner of any delicate trims or embellishments.
• Do not hand wash or machine wash.
• Do not bleach, soak, wring, or tumble dry.
• Avoid direct contact with perfume and harsh chemicals.
• Do not apply direct heat to embroidery or metalwork.
• Store in a cool, dry place with adequate support.

Gentle wash care

For other JASCANO pieces labelled as suitable for gentle washing, use the following instructions. Check the garment label before starting.

• Wash separately in cold water, at or below 30°C.
• Use a mild, pH-neutral liquid detergent.
• Do not bleach or use harsh cleaning agents.
• Do not soak, scrub, or wring the garment.
• Dry naturally in shade, away from direct sunlight.
• Iron inside out on low heat, if permitted by the label.
• Do not iron directly over prints or embellishments.

Before cleaning a piece

Read the care section on the product page and check the attached label. A blend, lining, trim or embellishment may affect the cleaning method. If the instructions are unclear, contact JASCANO with the product name before cleaning it.
